Services at Emma’s Web
With over five years of experience, I have used WordPress to create bespoke websites for individual companies.
WordPress powers over 34% of all the websites on the Internet. Meaning more than one in four websites that you visit are likely to be powered by WordPress.
Using a WordPress theme I create individual designs for companies by manipulating the theme.
The ideas for the design of the website come from what the company does, their vision and what my mind thinks will suit the companies needs and wants.
RESPONSIVE WEB DESIGN
Responsive web design is an approach that can be used to create a website that can be resize itself depending on the type of device it is being viewed on.
This could be an oversized computer monitor (like mine), a laptop, or devices with smaller screens such as mobile phones or tablets.
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is the activity of ensuring a website can be found in search engines. This is achieved by using Keywords and Phrases and by ensuring all images are SEO’d. In many ways, it’s quality control for websites. All major web browsers such as Google, Bing, Firefox, Explorer, etc, use SEO to help them ‘rank’ pages. The better your SEO the better your ranking.
It really is that simple! But VERY important to get right!
When people do a search on a browser, they will usually type in a keyword phrase. Fifty-eight percent of search queries are three words or longer. So having keyword phrases on your website increases your chance of appearing higher on the page rank or top of the page.
The more key phrases that match your website search criteria the merrier!
This is one of the best things you get when you hire me (apart from getting a beautiful website)!
After all the initial hard work in deciding what you want from your website and agreeing (hopefully) to the site I have built you, comes the after work. WordPress websites and plugins often need updating, SEO has to be altered sometimes to get better ranking, things need to be added to the website, and so on.
This is ongoing work that I am more than happy to do for you!
